Amy N. Vela was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Since Amy was first licensed to practice law in 2009, she has devoted her career to representing and helping victims who have been injured by the negligence of others. She has extensive experience in personal injury law, having managed many cases through arbitration, mediation, and trial.
Amy is licensed in Arizona and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in Arizona. She has represented many clients with all types of claims, including, motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, dog bites, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith claims. Amy is a member of the Arizona Association for Justice, Arizona Women’s Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice.
Amy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and, upon completion, she relocated to the Phoenix area to attend Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, graduating with Highest Pro Bono Distinction. While in law school, Amy actively participated with the Student Bar Association, Advocacy Program Against Domestic Violence, and Phi Alpha Delta’s Moot Court Team. She also participated in internships with the United States District Court, Maricopa Superior Court, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.
Amy is a passionate supporter of local arts and business. During her free time, she enjoys exploring Arizona’s beautiful landscape and supporting local businesses alongside her friends and family.
